The Moon is full on Monday 26 October at 05:12 local time in Madrid. That is the moment when the Sun, Earth and Moon line up and the whole side of the Moon facing us is lit.
| City | Moonrise |
|---|---|
| Madrid | 17:34 |
| Barcelona | 17:09 |
| Bilbao | 17:26 |
| Seville | 17:49 |
| Palma | 17:10 |
| Las Palmas | 17:42 |
When does it rise?
The most beautiful moment is when the Moon rises above the horizon towards the east. Low in the sky, it looks big and orange. The size is an optical illusion, but the colour is real: the light passes through far more atmosphere, which filters out the blue.
Find a place with an open view towards the east – a beach, a field or a hill – and be there a quarter of an hour before the time in the table.
The next full moon is on Tuesday 24 November.
