1. Acceptance
By using Skycastor (skycastor.com), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Service Description
Skycastor provides weather data aggregated from publicly available sources including Open-Meteo, national meteorological services (DMI, YR.no, Met Office, etc.), and other open data providers. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of accuracy or completeness.
3. User Accounts
You may create an account to access additional features such as the embeddable widget. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Passwords must be at least 8 characters and contain uppercase, lowercase, a digit, and a special character.
4. Acceptable Use
You may not: (a) attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, (b) use the service for illegal purposes, (c) scrape or redistribute data in violation of upstream data providers' terms, (d) abuse API endpoints or attempt denial-of-service attacks.
5. Widget Usage
The Skycastor widget may be embedded on third-party websites using a valid API key. Widget usage is subject to fair use. Excessive automated requests may be rate-limited or blocked.
6. Data Attribution
Weather data is sourced from Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) under CC BY 4.0 license, and from national meteorological services. Skycastor does not claim ownership of upstream weather data.
7. Limitation of Liability
Skycastor and Aicuna are not liable for decisions made based on weather data provided by this service. Weather forecasts are inherently uncertain. Do not rely solely on this service for safety-critical decisions.
8. Privacy
Your use of Skycastor is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect minimal data and do not sell personal information. See our Privacy Policy page for details.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
